Mobile device application that allows bypassing with a tablet or telematics device. Drivers may receive a 'bypass' screen if all requirements for weight, size, safety, etc. are met. MOTION™ works with the transponder to provide the most effective means of bypassing at each weigh station. |

Bypass: If all requirements for weight, size, safety, etc. are met, the driver may receive a bypass and will see a ‘bypass’ screen which lets the driver know they can bypass the weigh station. |

If all requirements for weight, size, safety, etc. are NOT met, the driver will see a ‘pull in unless closed’ screen, which requires the vehicle to go through the weigh station. Drivers may also see this screen if they weigh station is closed, in this case drivers can continue on the mainline. |
Non-Bypass vehicles: All heavy vehicles that are not registered in PrePass™ or Drivewyze are required to pass through weigh stations that are open.
Program statistics: The system has been in operation in California since 1994. Currently, there are 36 weigh stations across California deploying bypass technology.
